Today is FITNESS FRIDAY! When it comes to your workout and eating regimen the weekend can be a make or break point. But I believe that you can add fitness to your weekend routine in a fun and easy way. What better way to get your weekend moving than to dance with Beyonce?! (On a personal note, I have been waiting forever for Beyonce to release a workout video to her song collection and this is the next best thing. And I am so excited!)
DANCING with BEYONCE!!
First Lady Michelle Obama has teamed up Beyonce to fight childhood obesity by creating a “Let’s Move! Flash Workout” video to encourage exercise and healthy choices. The video is co-sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and will air in participating middle schools around the country on May 3, 2011. Register your school to participate.
A re-mixed version of her hit, “Get Me Bodied” and cool dance moves are sure ways to make the Flash Dance initiative a hit with children and adults. I admit that I’ve done the dance about three times… and that was just on Wednesday.
Suggestions:
(1) Do this dance Friday morning when getting ready. Try this in the kitchen for a few moments of silliness with the kids? Perhaps the incentive of a Beyonce dance party in the morning would help get your little ones out of bed.
(2) This video is a must before a night out on the town, might as well get the party started early. This dance promises to be fun with your friends, and family or even solo.
