Super Dips for Super Bowl


3 Easy Organic Dips To Enjoy and Share on Super Bowl Weekend

Super Bowl is perhaps one of the most important snacking events of the year!  You can skip the Crock Pot full of little sausages and barbecue sauce, platters of fried chicken wings, and gelatinous tub of queso and still impress with bold, flavorful, delicious organic recipes.  Take a look at a few of our favorite easy homemade organic dip recipes that will be sure to please your crowd!  Any of the recipes can be doubled depending on the size of your winning crowd!

Touchdown Hummus


Serving 3-5

2 15.5 oz. cans Goya Organically Grown Garbanzos (drain and set aside the remaining water)

1 organic lemon

¼ Small Organic Onion

3 Cloves Organic Garlic

3 Tablespoons Arrowhead Mills Organic Sesame Tahini

1 Teaspoon Salt

In a Blender, add Garbanzos, squeezed lemon, onion, cloves of garlic, tahini and salt and blend.  With the water set aside from the drained beans, slowly add the water to the mix until desired consistency.  Depending on you desire for tahini, feel free to add more.  Transfer to a serving bowl and add your favorite organic vegetables.

Want to take it a step further to enhance the flavor… take your onion and garlic and  toss with a little olive oil,  roast in a mini or convention oven for 15 minutes before adding to the blender.

Hail Mary Guacamole


Serving 5-7

4 Organic Haas Avocado’s

½ Cup Chopped Organic Onion

½ Cup Chopped cilantro

1 tsp. Sea Salt

1 tsp. Pepper

4 tbsp. Fresh Lime Juice

1 Organic Tomato

1 Jalapeño Seeded and Minced

2 Cloves Garlic (if you are making the hummus add a few extra roasted cloves instead of diced)

Cut the avocados to medium size chunks and mash coarsely in a large bowl with a fork.  Add remaining ingredients except the jalapeño and blend leaving a few small chunks of avocado.  Start adding a little jalapeño to desired flavor. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if desired.

Quarterback Salsa


Serving 3 cups of Salsa

4 Organic Ripe Tomatoes

1 jalapeño pepper

¼ cup cilantro

2 garlic cloves (roasted or raw)

½ Organic Onion

Sea Salt and Pepper

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and add tomatoes, onion and garlic.  Drain thoroughly and let them cool.  Chop and peel the tomatoes and combine chopped onion, garlic, cilantro and add a dash of salt and pepper to your liking.  Chop and deseed the jalapeño.  Mix in ¼ of the jalapeño and give yourself a taste test. (Remember the longer it sits the stronger the jalapeño becomes.  After tasting the salsa add as much jalapeño as your spicy heart desires!!  Serve with your favorite Corn Chips!
