ACTION ALERT
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO SAVE DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS
A bill proposed by Senator Durbin and new proposed FDA regulations could severely limit public access to dietary supplements.
ACTION TO TAKE
Please contact your Senators and Representatives, by phone. fax, or e-mail, expressing your strong opposition to the Durbin bill S1310, which could potentially severely limiting the availability of nutritional supplements. Nick Maravell has farmed the land on Brickyard Rd. in Potomac for 30 years. He has farmed it organically and sustainably, benefiting the local community, consumers and other farmers in the county, and our environment, including the Chesapeake Bay. He has farmed so well that in September of 2010, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack appointed Mr. Maravell to the prestigious National Organic Standards Board.

Even adding a filtration system would cost less. This does not even take into consideration the environmental cost of all those plastic water bottles. We have to trust that the people who are spending our money on bottled water are also recycling them.
